Terms & Conditions

Plain-language terms covering how we quote, sell, deliver and support building materials across Nigeria — plus your rights, your responsibilities, and how we resolve issues if something goes wrong.

Last updated: August 2026

1. Agreement to These Terms

  • These Terms & Conditions govern your use of the Plotrise Depot website, our quotations, and every order you place with us, whether online, by phone, by email or in person.
  • By browsing the site, requesting a quote, or placing an order, you confirm that you are at least 18 years old (or acting for a registered business) and that you accept these terms.
  • We may update these terms from time to time. The version published on this page at the moment you place an order is the version that applies to that order.

2. Product Information

  • We describe our building materials as accurately as we can, including sizes, grades, finishes and technical specifications supplied by manufacturers.
  • Photographs and renderings are for guidance only. Natural products such as tiles, granite, timber, laterite and stone vary in shade, veining and texture between batches.
  • Reasonable manufacturing tolerances in dimensions, weight, thickness and colour are normal and are not treated as defects.
  • Stock levels change quickly. Availability shown on the site is indicative and is confirmed only when we accept your order.

3. Pricing

  • All prices are quoted in Nigerian Naira (₦) and, unless stated otherwise, exclude delivery, offloading, and any applicable VAT or statutory charges.
  • Building material prices move with the market. Prices may change without notice, and a written quotation is valid for the period stated on it (7 days where no period is stated).
  • Where an obvious pricing or typographical error occurs, we may cancel or re-quote the affected order and will refund any amount already paid.
  • Bulk and project pricing is available on request and is confirmed in writing.

4. Payment

  • We accept bank transfer, card payment and other methods advertised at checkout. Payments must be made in full to a Plotrise Depot account in our name.
  • Goods remain our property until payment has cleared in full. Orders are only scheduled for dispatch after confirmed payment or an approved deposit.
  • For part-payment or credit arrangements, the terms recorded in your invoice or supply agreement apply, and outstanding balances may attract late-payment charges.
  • Always confirm account details directly with our team before transferring funds. We are not responsible for payments made to accounts not issued by us.

5. Order Acceptance

  • Your order is an offer to buy. A contract is formed only when we issue an order confirmation or invoice, not when you submit an order or receive an automated acknowledgement.
  • We may decline or limit an order where stock is unavailable, where payment cannot be verified, where the delivery location is not serviceable, or where we suspect fraud or resale in breach of these terms.
  • You are responsible for checking that quantities, specifications, sizes and the delivery address on your confirmation are correct before dispatch.

6. Delivery

  • We deliver within Abuja and nationwide across Nigeria using our own fleet and vetted logistics partners. Delivery charges depend on volume, weight, distance and site access.
  • Delivery timelines are estimates. We are not liable for delays caused by traffic, weather, road conditions, industrial action, government restrictions or other events beyond our control.
  • You must ensure safe, legal vehicle access, a suitable offloading point, and someone authorised on site to receive the goods. Waiting time or a failed delivery caused by site conditions may attract a re-delivery charge.
  • Unless offloading is expressly included, offloading is the customer's responsibility. Risk in the goods passes to you on delivery or collection.
  • Inspect and sign for goods on arrival. Shortages, wrong items or transit damage must be reported within 24 hours with photographs.

7. Cancellations

  • Orders may be cancelled free of charge at any time before dispatch, and we will refund in full to the original payment method.
  • Once a vehicle has been loaded or dispatched, applicable freight and handling costs may be deducted from your refund.
  • Special-order, imported-to-order, custom-cut and fabricated items cannot be cancelled once production or procurement has begun.
  • If we cannot fulfil an item, we will contact you and offer a substitute, a partial refund or a full refund — the choice is yours.

8. Returns

  • Returns must be requested within 7 calendar days of delivery, and within 48 hours for cement, plaster, adhesives, paints and other moisture-sensitive goods.
  • Items must be unused, uninstalled and in original, unopened packaging with labels and seals intact, supported by proof of purchase.
  • Cut-to-size and custom items, opened chemicals and coatings, discharged bulk aggregates, installed electrical goods and clearance items are not returnable.
  • All returns require a Return Authorisation number from our team and are inspected at our Abuja warehouse before approval.

9. Refunds

  • Approved refunds are processed within 5 – 10 business days of inspection approval, subject to bank posting times.
  • Refunds are issued to the original payment method. Cash or pay-on-delivery orders are refunded by bank transfer to an account in the buyer's name.
  • Store credit, replacement or exchange is available where you prefer it to a cash refund.
  • Delivery charges are refunded in full where the return results from our error; otherwise original delivery charges are non-refundable and a restocking fee of up to 10% may apply.

10. Warranties

  • Where a manufacturer provides a warranty, we pass that warranty through to you in full and will assist with any claim, including technical assessment by the manufacturer.
  • Warranties cover manufacturing defects only. They do not cover normal wear, incorrect storage, poor handling, faulty installation, unsuitable application, chemical exposure, or damage after acceptance on site.
  • We give no warranty that a product is fit for a particular structural design or purpose unless we have confirmed that suitability in writing.
  • Except as stated here and as required by Nigerian law, all other warranties, express or implied, are excluded.

11. Customer Responsibilities

  • Provide accurate contact details, delivery addresses, quantities and specifications, and keep your account credentials secure.
  • Confirm that products, grades and quantities suit your design, engineering requirements and applicable building regulations — consult your engineer or architect where necessary.
  • Store materials correctly on site: keep cement and chemicals dry and sealed, protect tiles and sanitaryware, and secure goods against theft after delivery.
  • Comply with all safety requirements during offloading and installation, and use only qualified tradespeople for installation work.
  • Pay all sums due on time and use the site and our services lawfully and without misuse.

12. Intellectual Property

  • All content on this website — including the Plotrise Depot name, logo, page designs, text, product photography, graphics, icons and software — is owned by or licensed to Plotrise Depot and protected by Nigerian and international intellectual property law.
  • You may view, download and print content for your own personal or internal project use only.
  • You may not copy, reproduce, republish, scrape, resell, frame or use our content or branding for commercial purposes without our prior written consent.
  • Manufacturer names and trademarks shown on the site remain the property of their respective owners and are used to identify products only.

13. Limitation of Liability

  • To the fullest extent permitted by Nigerian law, our total liability for any claim relating to an order is limited to the price paid for the goods giving rise to that claim.
  • We are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, including loss of profit, loss of contract, project delay costs, site standing time, or damage arising from installation or third-party workmanship.
  • We are not liable for events beyond our reasonable control, including fuel scarcity, road closures, strikes, extreme weather, supplier failure, regulatory action or acts of God.
  • Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability that cannot lawfully be excluded, including liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, or for fraud.

14. Privacy & Data Protection

  • We collect only the information needed to quote, process orders, deliver goods, provide support and meet our legal obligations — typically your name, phone number, email, delivery address and order history.
  • We handle personal data in line with the Nigeria Data Protection Act and do not sell your personal data.
  • We share data with delivery partners, payment processors and service providers strictly as needed to fulfil your order, and we require them to keep it confidential.
  • You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal data by contacting plotrisedepot@gmail.com, subject to records we must retain by law.
  • The site uses cookies and similar technologies to keep your cart working and to improve your experience.

15. Governing Law

  • These terms, and every contract formed under them, are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.
  • The courts of Nigeria, sitting in the Federal Capital Territory, Abuja, have jurisdiction over any matter arising from these terms, subject to the dispute resolution steps below.
  • If any provision of these terms is found invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions continue in full force.

16. Dispute Resolution

  • Step 1 — Talk to us. Contact our customer care team on 09157710125 or plotrisedepot@gmail.com with your order number and details. Most issues are resolved within 5 business days.
  • Step 2 — Formal escalation. If unresolved, submit a written complaint to our management. We will respond with a decision within 14 business days.
  • Step 3 — Mediation. Unresolved disputes are referred to good-faith mediation in Abuja, with costs shared equally unless otherwise agreed.
  • Step 4 — Arbitration or court. If mediation fails, the dispute may be referred to arbitration under the Arbitration and Mediation Act 2023, seated in Abuja and conducted in English, or to the Nigerian courts.
